GREEN isn’t the ONLY Happiness!

My alarm has always been set to WVXU news when I wake up, but about a year ago I just couldn’t listen to news anymore, so I switched the alarm to WGUC classical. My earplugs sometimes wouldn’t pickup the “noise”, so I switched to 103.5for music from when I was a teenager/young adult. Most mornings I now wake up happy as a clam! (WHERE did that phrase come from?!?)

This morning the FIRST song I hear is “Good Riddance" by Green Day and THEN Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”. WHY my brain went to my funeral I’ll never know…but if anyone remembers me by the time I die, I want the music to be all fun stuff that makes you want to DANCE. (The pic above is us with friends dancing over a pigs head which YES WE DID ORDER AND EAT!

I’m nowhere near kicking the bucket but as I get older, I think how young I feel inside and how I miss dancing! If anyone knows of a place that plays 70’s 80’s 90’s and DISCO…I want to GO. I had a couple of girlfriends a few years back who always wanted to go to Hollywood Casino’s “Disco Night” and we kept saying we were going to do it. Then one comes down with brain cancer, I develop several “itises” and the other turns 80. It has never happened but I woke up this morning with a renewed commitment to DANCE. Donna, are we on?!? EVERYBODY! Are we on?!? I hope EVERYBODY is Dancing in the Streets not only this St. Patty’s day, but EVERY DAY!!

Life’s Too Short!

Sometimes, when I’m catering, they’ll play fun music that makes me dance – I dance to the buffet table, from the buffet table, dance up to guests and share my platter…dance in the kitchen while doing dishes…and find myself so very grateful that I get to dance through life. Even if you’re in a wheelchair, you can still feel the music and dance in your heart. I’m so lucky to have found my joy and wish it for you TOO. Let’s DANCE! “Put on your red shoes and dance…”
